The BBC have today released promotional pictures for the second episode of Victoria Coren Mitchell’s documentary series about the bohemian movement, from its creation in the early nineteenth century to the modern day. Episode Two is broadcast on BBC Four on the 15th of June from 9:00pm. More promotional pictures and the episode synopsis below:
Victoria Coren Mitchell presents a series exploring the history of bohemians. Her journey reaches the early 20th century, when the Bloomsbury Group and others were determined to challenge sexual taboos – sometimes in their work and often in their private lives. They threw off their inhibitions, and frequently their clothes, and set the tone for generations of bohemians who followed. But what did the pursuit of freedom do for these artists, their art, and the people around them?
