Doctor Who and the Ark in Space Audio Adaptation Coming Soon



The BBC have recently released information about a new Doctor Who audio book. The book in question is an adaptation of The Ark In Space, Tom Baker’s second story as the 4th Doctor and one of his most popular stories. The story was adapted by one of its stars Ian Marter in the 70s for the Target book range and it is this version of the story that is used for this audio reading. The story is read by Jon Culshaw, famed for his impersonation of the 4th Doctor. The audio book is released on the 3rd of September. Jon Culshaw reads this classic novelisation of a 1975 TV adventure featuring the Fourth Doctor. At a time in the far-off future, Earth has become uninhabitable. A selection of Humanity is placed, deep-frozen, in a fully automated space station, to await the day of their return to Earth.

Thousands of years later, the Doctor arrives. He finds things going suspiciously wrong, and the station under attack from the giant Wirrn, deadly creatures who, in their lust for power, now threaten the future of the whole Human Race…
