Stella’s raging hormones are being kept at bay by a 50 Shades of Grey-style erotic novel. Later on, a girls’ night out to the local nightclub to see TV presenter and one-time X Factor star, Rylan spells trouble for young Emma when she continues to cross the line with the very married Marcus. On a brighter note, Luke has a big question for Zoe.
The episode begins in typical Stella style with Michael annoyed at his downgraded car not working and the humour that comes from this. We then cut to Emma trying to call Marcus and him ignoring the message at the salon. Meanwhile, Stella attempts to help Michael with his car but instead succeeds in trapping his hand. The episode continues along its normal path cutting between the various characters and plot threads.
A particularly funny scene features Big Alan attempting to ask his crush, Celia out for dinner. The scene is very well played by Steve Spiers who continues to make the character funny and endearing at the same time.
The episode is once again a great continuation of Series Three and provides some great comic and touching scenes. Patrick Baldi, as Michael, particularly stands out in the episode for his comedic timing and his dead pan delivery which makes the scenes featuring him all the better.
