New information has just been released about two new up and coming Doctor Who audios both set to be released for the 19th of March next year. The first one is an adaptation of The Deadly Assassin novelization by Terrence Dicks. The audio will be read by Geoffrey Beevers reprising the role he portrayed in The Keeper of Traken and many other audio stories. The synopsis is below:
Geoffrey Beevers reads this exciting novelisation of a classic TV adventure for the Fourth Doctor.
The Doctor is suddenly summoned to Gallifrey, the home of the Time Lords, where his ghastly hallucinations of the President’s assassination seem to turn into reality. When the Doctor is arrested for the murder, a hideous, dark, cowled figure is gleefully watching in the shadows.
In a battle of minds, the Doctor faces renegade Time Lord, the Master, inside a nightmare world created by his old enemy’s imagination. But the Master’s evil intentions go much further – he has a Doomsday Plan. It is up to the Doctor to prevent him from destroying Gallifrey and taking over the Universe!
Geoffrey Beevers, who played an incarnation of the Master in the BBC TV series, reads Terrance Dicks’s complete and unabridged novelization first published by Target Books in 1977.

The other audio, The Corpse Marker, is written by Chris Boucher as a direct sequel to his 1977 story The Robots of Death. Synopsis is below:
An unabridged reading of an original adventure featuring the Fourth Doctor, as played by Tom Baker, and his companion Leela.
The Doctor and Leela arrive on the planet Kaldor, where they find a society dependent on benign and obedient robots. But they have faced these robots before, on a huge Sandminer in the Kaldor desert, and know they are not always harmless servants…
The only other people who know the truth are the three survivors from that Sandminer – and now they are being picked off one by one. The twisted genius behind that massacre is dead, but someone is developing a new, deadlier breed of robots. This time, unless the Doctor and Leela can stop them, they really will destroy the world…
